A 22-year-old youth was murdered allegedly over some family feud at  Kotinada Padal village of Aska in Ganjam district on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Rushi Nayak of Talapatna area in Dharakote.

As per initial reports, Rushi reportedly had come to the house of the in-laws of his sister to attend post-last rite rituals.
It is alleged that Rushi was killed soon after he tried to intervene in a dispute between his sister's father-in-law Kashinath Nayak and a youth of the same village.

Irate over this, the accused, identified as Shiba, attacked Rushi with the help of a sharp weapon. Though Rushi was then rushed to Aska sub-divisional hospital, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

" My brother had come to my in-laws house and tried to resolve the dispute between my father-in-law and his nephew. My brother was a guest and he was not involved in any clash. I want stern action against the accused as he killed my brother without any fault," demanded deceased Rushi's sister Gayatri Das.

Meanwhile, police have detained two persons and started an investigation into the murder case.
