Youth kills mother for denying him Rs 100 to purchase drugs

A youth allegedly killed his mother for reportedly denying him pocket money in Mayurbhanj district on Saturday.

According to sources, the youth lived with his family near Hata Padia in Jashipur police limits. Today, he requested his mother to give him Rs 100 for purchasing drugs.

However, when the woman refused, her son reportedly beat her up mercilessly with a stick before absconding in fear of being caught.

Police have launched a probe into the case.
