Youth kills father in fit of rage, flees

In a horrific incident, a man gunned down his father over a petty quarrel on Wednesday. The incident took place at Kashikundal area under Udala police limits. 

According to sources, Tilu Nayak and his son Kailash were eating together when an altercation ensued between the two. An irate Kailash opened fire on his father killing the latter on the spot. When a few relatives rushed to the spot after listening to the bullet sounds, Kailash did not allow anybody to come near his father. Later, he fled the spot with his wife and children.

Acting on a tip-off, police reached the spot and seized the body and gun used for committing the crime.

The deceased’s father Karamu Nayak said, “I did not know where he got the gun. He might have gone to Champapur after committing the crime.”

A manhunt has been launched by police to nab the accused.
