A youth was found dead from a house in the capital city of Odisha on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Jyoti Sahu was found from a rented house in new forest park area in Bhubaneswar.

As per police, the body was found hanging with a piece of cloth tied on mouth. Reportedly, the youth’s hands were found tied using a chain.

On getting the information, police arrived at the crime spot and recovered the body before sending it to the Capital Hospital for autopsy.

Police have registered a case of unnatural death. Meanwhile, the parents suspect the cause of death of their son as murder.

According to the landlord of the house, Jyoti was staying in the house from last three months.

“He was working in the city for the past three months. Today wewitnessed that he did not come out of his room even after the noon, so I tried to ring his cellphone but he did not respond,” Sameer Mishra, the house owner said. 

He added, “When we saw someone coming from the back side of the door, we immediately telephoned the police.”

It is persistent to mention here that, two days ago Mishra gave Rs 10,000 to the deceased to deposit at the bank, but Jyoti informed him that he lost the money.

“Airport police informed me about the incident around 1 pm. I am suspecting the cause of death as murder as his hands were found tied,” said deceased’s father.

Further details into the case is awaited.
