Youth chased, hacked to death by two brothers in Odisha’s Sundargarh

A youth was chased and allegedly hacked to death by two brothers at Ratanpur village under Sadar police station in Sundargarh district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Saa.

According to sources, Manoj had an altercation with one Bijay Mahanandia and his brother Dulamani Mahanandia over a trivial matter.

The verbal feud took an ugly turn when BIjay and Dulamani attacked Manoj with a sharp weapon. 

When Manoj tried to escape the attack, the duo chased and attacked him with a dagger causing his death on the spot.

The duo fled the village after committing the crime, sources informed.

On being informed about the incident, Sadar police reached the village and started an investigation into the matter.
