Woman found dead at Baramunda bus terminal in Bhubaneswar; murder suspected

Panic gripped passengers after some people spotted a body of a woman at Baramunda bus terminal in Bhubaneswar on Friday night. As per initial reports, the woman had come with a person and had purchased a ticket from the counter.

Sources said that both had purchased tickets for Sorada in Ganjam. It is alleged that some persons had seen them entering into a dispute. Later, the woman’s body was found at an isolated place.

It is suspected that the woman has been strangulated to death. However, the exact reason behind the woman’s death is yet to be ascertained. Bharatpur police has seized the body and sent it for autopsy.

Sources said that already police have started an investigation as the person, who was accompanying the woman, is missing. Similarly, the CCTV camera footage is also being examined as part of the investigation process.
