Woman Dupes Over 10 People Of Lakhs By Posing As Doctor & IT Professional, Arrested

In yet another incident of crime in Bhubaneswar, a woman was arrested for allegedly duping several persons to the tune of lakhs.

Amid the rising cases of crime in the Capital city, the Saheed Nagar Police here on Friday arrested a woman for allegedly duping more than 10 persons of lakhs of rupees.

The woman was allegedly creating fake social media accounts with fake pictures and posing herself as either doctor, beautician or IT professional and developing relationships with people.

The matter came to light after a youth, who was also allegedly duped by the woman of Rs 6.5 lakh, lodged a complaint in connection with the incident at the Saheed Nagar Police Station in Bhubaneswar.

Later, police arrested the accused and seized Rs 1 lakh cash and several identity cards from her possession.
