In a fresh twist to the death case of woman cricketer Rajashree Swain, a letter has been recovered from her scooter abandoned in the jungle near Gurudijhatia in Athagarh of Cuttack.

As per reports, Rajashree, in the handwritten letter, held two persons responsible for her death, including a coach and a former official of the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA).

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has filed a complaint at Gurudijhatia Police Station demanding to register murder case against the OCA officials.

When asked about the letter recovered from the scooter, Swain’s mother said that the hand writing does not match with her daughter’s. And the OCA officials are involved in the killing of her daughter. The family of Rajashree Swain alleged that the OCA and her coach, Pushpanjali Bannerjee are responsible for her death.

The OCA on Friday had clarified that there were no irregularities in the player selection process.

The police are likely to question the OCA officials about the letter.

The 22-year-old woman cricketer, who had gone missing under mysterious circumstances, was found hanging from a tree in a dense forest near Athagarh in Cuttack district on Friday.
