Woman Beaten To Death In Jharsuguda, Husband Detained 

A heated argument between a couple over some family issues turned tragic when the man allegedly beat wife to death at Uparabangala village under Brajarajnagar police limits in Jharsuguda district on Thursday. 

The deceased has been identified as Pankajini Naik, wife of Ramesh Naik of Uparabangala village. 

Ramesh and Pankajini were living in a MCL quarter at Uparabangala village which is under Rampur outpost limits. As per reports, on Thursday morning, they entered into a verbal duel over some family matters. The scene turned ugly when the arguments escalated and Pankajini ended up being beaten up.  

Ramesh went on thrashing his wife till she collapsed on the ground. 

On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered her body and sent it for autopsy. The cops have detained Ramesh and are questioning him to figure out what led him to kill his wife. 

Further investigation into the case is underway.
