Woman arrested for beating teacher in Odisha 

Police on Thursday arrested a woman for allegedly attacking a female teacher of Sagadashula Primary School under the Baliapal block in Balasore district. 

The accused has been identified as Harapriya Mohanty and the victim Anjali Mohanty. The accused woman was later produced in court after her arrest. 

According to sources, Harapriya and another man had hurled abuses and attacked Anjali. Harapriya even attacked the teacher with a shoe. Hearing her cries, students and local people came to her rescue. Seeing the villagers coming towards them, the accused duo fled from the spot. Later the video of the incident went viral. 

After coming to know everything from Anjali, her husband lodged a complaint with the Baliapal Police, seeking action against Harapriya. 

Acting on the complaint, the police launched an investigation. A team from the Baliapal Police Station also visited Sagadashula Primary School to find out the veracity of the allegations.
