Narco test of Gopal Das, the accused in the high profile Naba Das murder case, was conducted at Gandhinagar in Gujarat on Saturday.

The test, also known as the ‘Truth serum test’, was performed at the Directorate of Forensic Science Lab (DFSL) in Gandhinagar.

So, did Gopal reveal his real motive behind the murder during the scientific test? Will the test help Crime Branch know whether the accused was forced by political conspiracy, supari, individual or business related enmity to eliminate the minister?

As per reports, Gopal’s vitals were checked; blood pressure and blood sugar were also monitored before taking him for the Narco test. During the test, a chemical loosely known as ‘Truth Serum’ was injected into the subject intravenously to let him slip into a subconscious state. After that, the probe agency darted several questions to get answers.

Gopal also underwent two polygraph tests earlier. However, Gopal’s revelation about his intention behind the murder (in the tests if any) is still a mystery.

As per sources, the Crime Branch team along with Gopal will return to Odisha today. The LVA test and psychoanalysis of Gopal were conducted earlier. The ballistic test of the firearm has also been performed.

Now question arises, will these ultra modern tests be helpful for any aspect of the investigation? People of Odisha are now doubtful whether the Crime Branch will reveal the motive behind the murder or it will remain as a mystery for ever.

Naba Das was allegedly shot by Gopal Das near Gandhi Chhak at Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district on January 29. Das, who sustained serious injuries in the attack, was first rushed to Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital and then he was airlifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar where he succumbed to his injuries.
