More About The Incident

Sources reveal that Manoj Mallik, a resident of the village, had been engaged in a prolonged conflict with his neighbours over ownership rights to a piece of land. The dispute, fuelled by historical enmity, had earlier led to multiple complaints being lodged by both parties at the local police station. Despite prior interventions by the authorities, the issue remained unresolved, allowing tensions to fester beneath the surface.

On Saturday, the situation spiralled out of control when a heated argument between the rival groups quickly escalated into a physical altercation. Both sides reportedly attacked each other with sticks and other weapons, leading to chaos in the area. Five people were seriously injured during the clash.

The injured were promptly rushed to the Mangalpur Health Centre for medical attention. Hospital authorities confirmed that while all the injured are currently stable, two of them have sustained more severe wounds and may require further treatment.

In response to the incident, a team of police personnel arrived at the scene to bring the situation under control. An investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact sequence of events and identify those responsible for instigating the violence.

Police officials have assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits, and additional security arrangements have been made in the village to prevent any further disturbances. Meanwhile, local leaders and elders have appealed to the villagers to maintain peace and assist the administration in resolving the matter amicably.
