The Vigilance authorities on Friday caught an officer of its own department red handed while accepting bribe.

According to sources, the inspector of Sambalpur Vigilance division, Manasi Jena was caught by the officails of the anti-corruption agency while taking Rs 10 lakh bribe from a person to close a case against a government official.

Jena was reportedly taking the bribe amount from the government official through a person named Mukesh Sahoo.

According to latest information, Vigilance officials have initiated simultaneous searches at multiple locations in connection with Manasi Jena and Mukesh Sahoo.
