The Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted raids at several parts of the State in separate cases over allegations of possession of disproportionate assets by two government officials.

Three teams of the anti-corruption agency raided the residence and office of a Lady Supervisor at the office of Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) in Bhadrak district of Odisha. The supervisor has been identified as Mallilata Das.

As per sources, the Vigilance teams have detected a five storeyed building and 1 four storeyed market complex at Samraipur in Bhadrak, 2 plots, 1 four-wheeler and 1 two-wheeler as assets possessed by the ICDC official.

In another development, the probe agency conducted a raid at the house of Goura Chandra Budhia, Secretary of Kumbhari Primary Agriculture Co-operative Society (PACS) in Bargarh over allegations of the officer amassing assets disproportionate to his known income sources.

Two teams of the agency headed by DSP Dasarathi Sethi conducted searches in Kumbhari PACS house under the direction of the SP, Sambalpur.

Sources said the searches were in progress till reports last came in. The total evaluation of the properties is yet to be made.

Earlier on Monday, the Vigilance department carried out raids at the premises of six retired government officials in different parts of Odisha in connection with their involvement in a major land fraud case in Jagatsinghpur.

As many as 9 teams led by one Additional SP, 11 DSPs, 6 inspector rank officers conducted the searches at multiple locations in four districts of Odisha.
