Man Killed While Saving Niece From Kidnapping In Kendrapara

A man was clubbed to death by miscreants when he tried to save his niece from getting abducted at Chandrasekhar village under Rajnagar block of Kendrapara district on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Bichitrananda Biswal. As per reports, some miscreants tried to abduct his niece at around 9.30 pm.

The abductors launched a murderous attack on Bichitrananda when he tried to save his niece from their clutches.

“The miscreants attacked by uncle when he tried to save my sister. They hit him on the head with an iron rod,” said deceased’s nephew.

A profusely bleeding Biswal was rushed to the Rajnagar Community Health Centre (CHC) where doctor declared him brought dead.

“At around 10 pm we received the body at the hospital. The deceased was approximately 44 years old,” said Dr Ashutosh Barik at the CHC.

He added, “He succumbed due to excessive blood loss which was caused because of the injury he had suffered in the head.”

Meanwhile, the police have nabbed the accused and questioning him. The victim girl’s statement is also being recorded.
