Talcher Deputy Director of Mines arrested; Vigilance detects DA worth Rs 5 crore

The State Vigilance Department on Tuesday arrested Dharanidhar Nayak, Deputy Director of Mines (DDM) Talcher for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets (DA) worth about Rs 5 crore.

Senior Vigilance officials said that the total disproportionate assets of the government official is over 500 percent of his known sources of income.

Here is the list of assets detected by the Vigilance during raid:

- 2 Multi Storey Buildings.

- One 3-BHK Flat worth approx Rs.1.30 crore & 1 Duplex of area 1800 sqft at BBSR.

- 2 Market Complexes with 19 shops.

- 11 Plots.

- Deposits of Rs. 53.53 Lakh.

- Household Articles worth Rs.54.70 Lakh.

- Cash over Rs.9.85 Lakh.

- 1 four wheeler and 2 two wheelers, etc.
