Sundargarh double murder: Accused driver arrested; crime over one-side love affair, says police

Police on Saturday cracked the Sundargarh double murder mystery with the arrest of driver Raju Nag. Nag had been on the run after stabbing the victim Lipsa Kerketa and her male friend Pratap Lakada last week.

Rajgangpur SDPO, Abhisekh Panigrahi on Sunday informed that the accused Raju Nag was nabbed by a special team that was formed in connection with the double murder case.

"Yesterday, we have arrested the accused who was on the run. Our investigation is on. However, the accused has confessed to having committed the crime. The accused was into a one-sided affair with the victim," said Panigrahi.

Earlier, it was alleged that Raju had stabbed Lipsa, Pratap after locking her parents inside a room on July 14.

Following the incident, special teams were formed and raids were conducted at several places including in neighbouring states to nab the accused.
