Cuttack: Medicine stockists raided over alleged sale of duplicate medicines

Close on the heels of seizure of spurious Telma-40 medicines in Cuttack, a team of Drugs Controller raided three farms in the city and seized duplicate medicines worth Rs 22 lakh on Thursday.

According to sources, the team raided Cal agency, Mahaveer Prasad Radheshyam and M H Pharmacy located in Nimchouri area and seized the medicine.

Meanwhile, the state authorities of Odisha has requested the Bihar government to extend cooperation in the investigation into supply and sale of spurious hypertension drugs, Telma 40 and Telma AM tablets in Cuttack.

Odisha Health Secretary has asked his Bihar counterpart in a letter to issue concerned authorities to extend their cooperation to a team deputed by Odisha for probe into the case.
