The post-mortem report of Special POCSO Court judge Subash Kumar Bihari, who was found hanging in his official residence at CDA Sector-9 in Cuttack on September 2, attributed his death to asphyxia due to hanging.

Markat Nagar Police said, “It is mentioned in the post mortem report that due to hanging, Bihari had several marks in his neck.”

Meanwhile, the mother and the relatives of the deceased alleged that his wife and brother-in-law killed Subhas and orchestrated the act in such a manner to make others believe it to be a suicide. They demanded a high-level probe into it.

They had claimed that there were injury marks over Subas’ body but his mortal remains were neither handed to his mother nor shown to her. Thus, his relatives demanded that the responsibility of investigation into the case be handed over to a top independent agency like the CBI.

It is learnt that Subas was on leave for two days and was scheduled to rejoin office. However, he had again applied for leave before taking the drastic step.

As per his family, he had planned to visit his ancestral house to perform the death anniversary ceremony of his late father.
