In a major jolt to ‘lady blackmailer’ Archana Nag’s close associate, Shradhanjali Behera, the special CBI court has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against her for not deposing before the court in connection with the sextortion case.

Shradhanjali has been named as an accused in the honeytrap case. In connection with this case, she was to appear before the court on Saturday. But she didn’t turn up. She had even evaded the previous dates, on health grounds. As she skipped today’s date, the NBW was issued.

The court has fixed June 3 as the next date for the hearing.

Notably, the Police arrested Nag on October 7 last year on charges of honey-trapping bigwigs and extorting money from them. Later, on October 21, Nag’s husband Jagabandhu Chand was also arrested from their Satya Vihar residence in Bhubaneswar. After gathering enough evidence against him, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested him on December 23 last year.

On April 11, the Orissa High Court granted conditional bail to Archana Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand in connection with the case filed at Nayapali Police Station involving film producer, Akshaya Parija.

However, the couple is still in jail as other cases are pending against them at Khandagiri Police Station.
