The cyber criminals are on the prowl in Odisha and coming up with different fraudulent methods to dupe people in the State. In a new kind of online fruad, the fraudsters have developed a fake State Bank of India mobile banking site and trying to cheat people.

"A site made by fraudsters which resembles Yono portal (see the URL: http://pleasehelp.co.in). Some customers got calls for KYC updation. Please do not click on any link received by SMS or email especially for KYC updation," Bhubaneswar DCP tweeted.

 

 

The Commissionerate Police also issued a help desk number (for Bhubaneswa) to report such incidents.

"In case you have fallen prey to such a scam, immediately contact our Help desk no- 7440006709" (only for BBSR UPD)," the tweet read further.

Notably, in May, the Cyber Crime Help Desk of UPD Bhubaneswar recovered Rs 12,05,306 of 34 people who lost their money to different cyber criminals.
