The accused had promised them to provide plots in the company's residential projects at Patrapada, Bhubaneswar.

“After collecting different amounts from the prospective buyers, the MD of the Company requested the prospective buyers that as a land could not be arranged at Patrapada, they would be given flats in Gadakana area. When the buyers agreed to it, the MD of the Company collected Rs.12 lakhs from each of the prospective buyers during the period 2016-19 to provide flats,” the EOW said in a release.

The EOW stated that the accused's company did not provide any plot/flat to the victim buyers nor did it return the invested amount.
