Pvt finance firm’s woman agent, lover held for planning to loot company in Cuttack

Police on Sunday arrested a woman agent of a private finance company, her lover and a minor boy for orchestrating a plan to loot her company in Cuttack. 

The Lalbag police have identified the accused as Priyanka Sahu and her lover as Arabinda Nayak. 

According to the police, Priyanka worked with a private finance company. For some reasons, which are yet to be ascertained by the police, she had been in urgent need of money. After watching many episodes of crime based serials, she along with her lover Arabinda had devised a plan to loot. 

As per the plan, Priyanka had asked Sadiya Khatun, who worked as the supervisor with the same company where the former worked, to come to Sutahat Church to receive some money. As Sadiya was about to left the place with the cash bag, two unidentified bike-borne miscreants appeared in the scene, snatched the bag from Sadiya and fled from the spot. 

In this regard, Sadiya lodged a complaint with Lalbag police station following which the police launched a probe. 

During investigation, the police’s needle of suspicion pointed towards Priyanka. Upon having been quizzed, she admitted her crime and revealed the entire plan. The police produced the accused before a court which sent them to judicial custody. 

A detailed investigation is underway.
