At least one person sustained injuries after series of bombs were hurled at Danduasipada village under Brahmagiri police limits in Puri district on Saturday.

Over 20 crude bombs were reportedly pelted during the act of violence which is said to be fallout of a clash between two warring groups in the village.

While the identity of the injured person is yet to be ascertained, he has been admitted in a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to sources, two groups engaged in a heated argument during celebration of Holi festival at the village today. The scene took an ugly turn and snowballed into a full-fledged clash between the factions.

Soon after the incident, more than 20 bombs were hurled at Danduasipada village sending the locals into a tizzy.

One person who was injured in the incident was immediately rescued and rushed to a nearby government hospital.

Notably, at least 20 bombs were hurled by miscreants in the same village over political vendetta last month before the Panchayat Election.

More details are awaited.
