Carrying out further probe in the murder of a senior servitor of Puri Jagannath temple, police on Sunday took the two more accused- Hari Panda and Baba Mohapatra to the spot for recreating the crime scene. The servitor, Krushna Chandra Pratihari, was shot dead from point-blank range at Barabati Jagaghar on March 16.

On Saturday, police had recreated the crime scene with key accused- Tutu Mohapatra and Kunmuni Suar. A total of ten persons have been arrested in connection with the murder case.

“A crime scene was recreated on the first day of the remand of the accused. A special investigation team led by additional SP has been formed for collection of evidence and look into all the aspects of the case,” said Puri SP K Vishal Singh.

According to Singh, a detailed documentation based on facts will be done and produced in court accordingly. “We will bring two other accused for recreation of the crime. We will try to complete all the investigation procedures within this period and will bring the accused again on remand, if needed.

Apart from the two accused, Tutu Mohapatra and Kunmuni Suar, eight others- Hari Panda, Asish alias Baba Mohapatra, Kalia Singhari and his son Dalgobinda Singhari, Muna Patra, Sandip Jena, Kalu Panigrahi and Jagan Khatei.

have been arrested so far in connection with the Srimandir servitor's murder case.

Kalia Singhari and Dalgobinda Singhari are the main conspirators of the crime. Kalia is the brother of Guna Singhari who was murdered in 2012.

Police had earlier revealed that Kalia and Dalgobinda had engaged lodge manager Kalu Panigrahi to arrange other people and to plot and execute the crime. Munna Patra of Sadar area had allegedly supplied weapons for the crime.
