Prominent businessman brutally murdered in Odisha’s Baripada 

A day before Holi, a well-known businessman was brutally murdered at his residence in Forest Colony, Baripada, on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Snehasis Panda. The attack has sent shockwaves across the city, raising serious concerns about security.

According to initial reports, an unidentified assailant forcefully entered Panda’s house and launched a fatal attack, slitting his throat before fleeing the scene. The brutal nature of the crime has left the local community in distress.

Response Of Neighbours

Upon hearing unusual noises, neighbours rushed to Panda’s house and found him lying in a pool of blood. Subsequently, the neighbours raised an alarm and alerted senior police officials regarding the incident. A puja was being conducted close to the residence of the businessman when the incident took place this morning.

On getting information, police personnel immediately reached the spot and shifted the victim to Baripada Hospital.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assailant fled swiftly, taking advantage of the commotion. The security system in the locality has now come under scrutiny, as residents demand stricter surveillance measures.

Motive Unclear

A forensic team has been deployed to collect evidence from the crime scene, and police officials are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the suspect’s movements. Investigators are exploring all possible motives behind the murder, including personal enmity and business-related disputes.
