According to a source, six naga sadhus came to the Gundicha temple at Raghunathpur on Saturday and spent the night there.
During their stay, they made acquaintance with one Pranakrushna Padhiary, a resident of Raghunathpur village. The miscreants and Pranakrushna had their dinner at the temple. Then they told him that they would visit his house in the morning to have breakfast.

In the morning, they visited Padhiary's house and had their breakfast, and left. Later, Pranakrushna and his family members realised that the sadhus had decamped with their gold ornaments.

“They (miscreants) spent the night at the Gundicha temple. We had dinner together. They told me that they want to visit our house and to have breakfast before leaving for Puri. They came and had breakfast and left. Moments later, we realised that the gold chain of my son had been stolen. While they were having their breakfast, my son went into the bathroom, keeping his gold chain on the dining table. He had asked his mother to put the chain away. And she had forgotten to do so,” narrated Pranakrushna.

Meanwhile, Pranakrushna’s son Rakesh lodged a complaint at Nandankanan police station. Acting on the complaint, the police have launched a manhunt for the miscreants.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the miscreants hail from Uttar Pradesh.
