Police Sub-Inspector injured in attack by drug mafia in Bhubaneswar

Once again throwing an open challenge to the law enforcing agencies, anti-socials involved in the illegal narcotics trade have started to attack personnel during raids.

This time a Sub-Inspector (SI) posted at Dhauli Police Station sustained multiple injuries after being attacked by drug mafia on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

The SI, identified as Ramesh Bhola, was attacked when he had gone with a team to conduct a raid at an abandoned house from where narcotics were being sold. The SI had raided the spot along with few other personnel after getting a tip-off in connection with the illicit narcotics trade.

On seeing the team, the anti-socials launched an attack in which the SI sustained injuries. Soon a police rescue team rushed to the spot and managed to nab four miscreants from the spot while some other accused managed to escape.
