Police crack whip, raze absconding criminal’s house to ground in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Kendrapara district and police administrations have started cracking whip against criminals as on Monday they jointly carried out an operation and razed the illegally constructed house of dreaded criminal Prashant Sahu alias Pasha. 

According to a source, Pasha is a hardcore criminal with murder, loot, bombing, and many other criminal cases pending against him at different police stations. The latest one was the kidnap of criminal Bibhu Sahu from Bhagabanpur village under Marshaghai police limits on June 1. While he is wanted in the case, he has since been absconding.  

Sources informed that he had encroached upon a piece of government land at Talasara village under Patakura police limits and constructed a house there. Today, the police took action against him. His illegally constructed house was pulled down. The police engaged a bulldozer to raze the house to the ground. 

During the operation, there was a huge deployment of police force to thwart any untoward incidents. District administration officials too were present at the location.
