Police complaint filed against Bhubaneswar man for mercilessly beating stray dog  

An FIR was lodged at Saheed Nagar police station in Bhubaneswar against a person for beating a stray dog mercilessly. 

Kamana Sethi, a resident of Shantipalli slum, has accused Bhima Sethi of the same locality of beating up the stray dog without any valid reason. 

According to the complaint, Kamana feeds the stray dogs in his locality. Once he had a quarrel with Bhima over feeding the animals. Bhima had since been nurturing a grudge against Kamana. Going to take revenge, one day the former beat up a stray dog ruthlessly. 
Following this, Kamana lodged a complaint against Bhima at Saheed Nagar police station on August 2. 

He alleged that the brutality of Bhima and his associates against the animals has now increased. 

“After our police complaint, he (Bhima) and his friends have been beating the stray dogs regularly. On August 2 night, they thrashed a dog so mercilessly that it was about to die. Their act was captured in CCTV cameras. We treated the injured dog,” said Kamana. 

Even though 5 to 6 days have passed, the police are yet to take any action against Bhima, Kamana added.
