Plus 2 boy beheads crush’s uncle with sword for objecting one-sided love in Bhubaneswar

In a gruesome act, a ‘roadside romeo’ allegedly beheaded a man after the latter objected to his one-sided love in Bhubaneswar’s Khandigiri. The accused minor beheaded his crush’s uncle with a sword while the latter was returning home on a bike.

The bone-chilling incident has been reported from Suka Vihar area near Jagannath Nagar under Khandagiri police limits. The accused, a minor is a Plus II student while the deceased has been identified as Jaga Mallick.

According to sources, the accused was infatuated with the victim’s niece. Despite warnings to mend his ways, the Plus 2 student refused to let go of his one-sided love affair and decided to eliminate Jaga who stood against his advances.

In a pre-planned manner, he was waiting for Jaga in a secluded place with a sword at around 12 AM late Wednesday night. Jaga was returning home on a bike when the accused, who was hiding with the sword beheaded him, with his head falling off from his body.

Jaga died on the spot while the accused was on the run. After getting information, Khandagiri police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem to Capital Hospital.

After a thorough manhunt, the accused was detained for further interrogation. A probe is on to find out if he is indeed a minor or not. We are checking his educational qualifications and looking for date of birth proofs to confirm if his age, Khandagiri police informed.
