In its fresh attempt to trace out missing minor girl Pihu, Binjharpur police on Tuesday put up posters, announcing a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone who provides vital clues/information about the two-year-old girl.

Binjharpur police have put up posters inside the police station as well as at several prominent locations.

Notably, Pihu has been missing since August 9, 2020. Then she was last seen while playing on the village road. After not finding her, the family members launched a frantic search at every possible place and then lodged a complaint alleging that some people have abducted her.

Meanwhile, two years have passed since the girl went missing. But the police are still clueless about the whereabouts of the girl. On the other hand, Pihu’s mother, Monalisha, has been demanding for CBI probe, alleging sluggish police investigation. She had even warned to stage a dharna if the CBI is not directed to probe within 15 days.

In this regard, she has even met the chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The chairperson had then said to her that she would take the matter up with the Chief Minister since the commission has not been authorized to transfer the case to CBI.
