In a major relief to Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL) director and industrialist Mahima Mishra’s son Charchit Mishra, a special CBI court on Tuesday granted latter’s bail plea in connection with Paradip Port Trust bribery case.

According to sources, the court ordered Mishra to submit his passport and not threaten any witness in the case.

Mishra was also directed to depose before investigating officer at least once every 15 days, sources informed.

Notably, the central probe agency had arrested Mishra on August 6 in connection with the case while IPC sections 120 (B) and 7,8,9, 10 of the PC Act were registered against him.

Besides, CBI had also arrested four persons including Paradip Port Authority’s chief mechanical engineer Saroj Das who had the habit of demanding and accepting bribes through his close conduit for extending undue benefits to various private stake holders engaged in port service and activities at Paradip Port.
