The Special Task Force (STF) on Sunday detained two associates of Pathanisamant Lenka, the mastermind of a major racket involved in procuring huge numbers of pre-activated SIM cards and selling the OTPs to some Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIO) and ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) agents in Pakistan.
As per sources, Lenka’s two associates have been picked from Jajpur district.
Lenka, a teacher at an Industrial Training Institute (ITI), was arrested recently along with two other persons in connection with the incident.

STF officials said that Lenka will be brought on a five-day remand from Monday. This assumes significance as the STF wants to ascertain more information from the accused in connection with the sensitive case.
Earlier, the STF had decided to invoke the National Security Act (NSA) against Lenka, the mastermind of the scam.
The STA has already shared all information with the National Investigating Agency (NIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB).

STF had earlier claimed that Lenka was in touch with a lady PIO agent, who was arrested in an Official Secrets Act/ Honey-Trap case in Rajasthan last year.
The STF had earlier seized 19 costly mobile phones (Including Apple mobile), 47 SIM cards, 61 ATM cards, and 23 SIM covers from the accused.
