Tightening its noose around the YouTubers, who have kept prohibited wild animals and post their photos and videos on social media platforms, the Odisha Forest Department officials on Sunday conducted a raid on the house of a YouTuber couple at Jahal village under Sadar Police limits of Jajpur.

As per reports, Monalisha Bhadra, a YouTuber, and her husband were asked to refrain from keeping wild animals in their house and posting their photos and videos on social media platforms.

Pooh-poohing the Forest Department’s warning, they allegedly kept uploading such posts on social media platforms.

In a case of violation of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, a joint team of Jajpur Road and Cuttack Forest departments conducted raids on Bhadra’s house.

However, the couple managed to give a slip to the Forest Department team.

“When we reached, we found they had fled. Our raids at different locations are on. They would be arrested in a day or two. They had kept monkeys,” said Jajpur Road ranger, Jyoti Ranjan Mohapatra.
