The sleuths of Odisha vigilance department on Thursday raided the properties of a livestock inspector in Bhubaneswar for allegedly accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income.

Vigilance teams led by five DSPs, 10 inspectors and other staff carried out simultaneous raids on the properties of Jagannath Rout, livestock inspector, Kalarahanga, Raghunathpur, in nine places in Khordha and Cuttack districts.  

Rout's residential house at Royal Lagoon Apartment at Raghunathpur, two triple storyed buildings, one double storied building, one single storied building, two flats, office room and out house were searched.

As many as 90 plots were found in possession of the livestock inspector till the filing of the last report. The valuation of the property is yet to be carried out.

Assets detected so far:

90 plots in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack

4 buildings and flats in Bhubaneswar and 1 outhouse in Cuttack

Residential flat located at Royal Lagoon Apartment, Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar worth about Rs 50,00,000

Triple storied building of 6,000 sqft. located at  Raghunathpur

Triple storied market complex of 6,000 sqft. located at  Raghunathpur

Double storied building of 2,000 sqft. at  Raghunathpur 

Single storied building of 1,500 sqft. at Raghunathpur

One flat at  Green Garden Apartment, Raghunathpur

One flat at Royal Arcade, Bhubaneswar

500 grams of gold,  Rs 17 lakh deposits in different banks
