Odisha Plus 3 Student Gang Raped In Front Of Male Friend, 3 Accused Arrested

A Plus 3 girl student was allegedly gang raped in front of his male friend near Kalama Chhak under Baisinga police limits of Baripada in Mayurbhanj district.

According to initial information, the incident took place when the survivor was travelling with her friend on a bike on Friday evening.

The trio who was stalking the girl and her friend on motorcycles forcibly took her inside a forest. The trio then assaulted the girl’s male friend and tied him before taking turns to rape the girl. 

Later, the girl’s friend stopped a police patrolling van which was passing by the area. The team reached the spot and rescued the girl. 

The three accused have been arrested. They all hail from Bankatira village under Baisinga police limits.

Another horrific gang rape incident was reported from Mayurbhanj district earlier in the day. Two men brutally gang-raped a woman at Sukruli in Mayurbhanj district on the pretext of offering her a lift before inserting a stick into her private parts. The survivor has been admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Sukruli with multiple injuries.
