Kendrapara Police on Thursday arrested as many as three persons for allegedly posting an obscene video of a minor girl on various social media platforms.

The accused have been identified as Milan and Mulayam from Nadia area in West Bengal and their associate Debadutta from Salipur area.

“All the accused have been arrested from their respective locations. They will be produced in a local court soon,” said a police official.

According to the allegation of the victim, Milan and Mulayam were working as masons in the construction of their new house building. They used to talk with her via video calling. 

Even as the exact details on how they managed to film her obscene video is yet to be ascertained, it has been alleged that the duo with the help of their associate Debadutta and a neighbouring family, who has a long-standing land dispute with the girl's kin, made the video viral on various social media platforms.

Upon knowing the incident, the girl's family lodged a complaint at Kendrapara Sadar police station.
“Mobile phones of the accused have been seized. Further investigation into the incident is underway. The rest of the accused will be arrested soon,” said a police official.
