The Odisha Vigilance sleuths have so far detected moveable and immovable assets worth over Rs 3.39 crore in the possession of Sunil Kumar Panda, Chief Engineer-cum-Chief Electrical Inspector in Sambalpur district. 

The assets were detected during searches at the house and other property of Panda following allegations of accumulation of disproportionate assets by him. The Vigilance department said that more property is likely to be unearthed and overall valuation to go up as further searches are underway. 

The property found in Panda's possession so far includes one 3 BHK Flat worth (approximately) Rs 64.21 lakh at Green Park Residency, Sambalpur, two plots in Ainthapali under Sambalpur town, one shop booked in Grand Bazaar, Bhubaneswar, the cost for which paid to the owner Rs 1,04,71,428, one plot booked with Ms Assotech Builders, the cost for which paid to the owner, M/s Assotech Sungrowth, Bhubaneswar Rs 61,65,000, bank deposits worth over Rs 32.04 lakh, insurance deposits worth Rs 19.80 lakh, investment in Mutual Fund worth over Rs 16.28 lakh, one four-wheeler worth over Rs 17.41 lakh and one two-wheeler.

In addition, household articles, gold ornaments, cash and other movable and immovable properties worth over Rs 15.77 lakh were also found during searches at Panda's property. Four teams of Odisha Vigilance led by two DSPs, nine inspectors, two ASIs and other staff carried out the raids today.
