The post-mortem report of deceased Odia television actress Rashmirekha Ojha, who was found hanging inside her rented house in Bhubaneswar, mentions death by hanging as her possible cause of death.

As per Capital Hospital sources, the autopsy report highlights that no internal or external injury marks on Rashmirekha’s body. Rashmirekha had possibly died 24 to 36 hours prior to the conduct of the post-mortem, the report added.

It is pertinent to mention here that Rashmirekha’s body was found hanging in her rented house in Bhubaneswar on June 20. The actress was found hanging in her rented house located at Gadasahi in Nayapalli area of the city.

Earlier, a suicide note was recovered from the spot. The actress held none responsible for her death. Following Rashmirekha’s death, her family members had accused Santosh Patra, who was staying with the TV actress as husband-wife in a rented accommodation.

Though the family claimed that they were aware about the marriage of Rashmirekha and Santosh, they suspected foul play in the entire incident.

The entire mystery surrounding the TV actress’ death had got murkier after a viral audio, purportedly said to be a conversation between Rashmirekha and Santosh went viral on social media.

As heard from the audio clip, Rashmi appeared annoyed with Santosh when the latter asked why Raja had blocked him. Rashmi said, why he had called him (Raja) and it was not required to create an unnecessary blunder. Moreover, Rashmi also termed Raja as a psycho and asked Santosh to stay away from him.

In a latest development, the Nayapalli police summoned deceased Rashmirekha’s two male friends to depose before it as part of the ongoing investigation in the case. It is likely that both the male friends will be quizzed regarding Rashmirekha and other aspects relating to her death.
