Ahead of the festive season, the Commissionerate Police has cracked its whip on anti-social elements in Bhubaneswar. As per of its ongoing operation, ‘DADABATI KU NAA’ (No To Extortion), the Commissionerate Police has so far arrested 33 anti-socials since January 2022 for demanding illegal subscription (extortion).

Senior officials said that 13 anti-socials have been arrested so far in the month of September in eight cases.

The Commissionerate Police has also appealed to public to share information about antisocial elements demanding dadabati, drugs or any other crimes on the WhatsApp mobile No- 7077798111.

The Commissionerate Police has also collected a fine of over 60 lakh so far from various offenders on the charges of consuming liquor at public places in Bhubaneswar.

As per the data shared by the Commissionerate Police, a highest of 3730 offenders were fined Rs 18,74, 500 in the month of August 2022.
