The Crime Branch of the Odisha Police probing the murder of Naba Kishore Das has sent the recovered 22 pieces of paper chits to the Handwriting Bureau for examination and opinion on Saturday. 

The pieces of handwritten paper were recovered from the septic tank at the Jharsuguda Airport Police Station and accused Gopal Das has identified the paper as his own handwritten one.

As per reports, a special Medical Board has been constituted to study the mental health of former ASI Gopal Krushna Das.  Further, the Forensic Psychological Assessment and LVA Test of accused is also being conducted by the team of CFSL, New Delhi at Jharsuguda. 

As per Crime Branch sources, the documents recovered from the paternal house of the accused at Industrial Estate, Berhampur and the government quarters at Jharsuguda are being scrutinized. The financial details of the accused, his wife, brother, and other close relatives are also being collected, informed Crime Branch.

Earlier today, accused Gopal Das was produced before the court of the JMFC, Jharsuguda after the completion of the first four days of police remand. The court has allowed police to take the accused in further remand for four days.
