Gopal Das, the prime accused in health minister Naba Das murder case, is apparently unfazed by the controversies that followed the high-profile murder and his calm and normal behaviour has surprised all and sundry.

Amid the ongoing probe into the case, Das was on Wednesday seen laughing nonchalantly at Jharsuguda airport as if nothing has happened. He was seen bursting into laughter while he was waiting for being taken to Gujarat for his narco-analysis test. This has now been the matter of discussion.

Before his departure, Gopal was made to sit in the lobby of the airport. There he glanced through a newspaper lying on the table. Unexpectedly, he suddenly started to laugh.

It is believed that he reacted so after reading news items on him.

Notably, the investigating agency has taken Gopal to Gandhinagar in Gujarat for his narco-analysis test during his third phase remand. During this five-day-long remand period, the investigating agency is trying to find out Gopal’s motive behind the murder. The court allowed the CB to conduct narco-analysis test and polygraph test following Gopal’s consent.

Meanwhile, DGP Sunil Bansal, Justice J P Das and Crime Branch ADG Arun Bothra visited the crime spot and varied out an investigation on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Gopal was taken to the crime spot near the Gandhi Chowk in Brajarajnagar for crime scene recreation. There he displayed with a toy pistol how he shot the minister from point-blank range.
