Naba Das murder case: Gopal is the sole accused who killed minister over personal vendetta, say CB sources 

Putting all speculations in the high-profile Naba Das murder case to rest, the Crime Branch (CB) sources on Friday confirmed that Gopal Das is the prime accused and he murdered the health minister over personal vendetta. 

The investigation into the Naba Das murder case is in its last stage. Accused Gopal Das has confessed to having killed minister Das over personal vendetta. The Crime Branch is only verifying the veracity of Gopal Das’ statement, sources added. 

The investigating agency is waiting for the reports of various tests including Gopal’s psycho-analysis test.  These reports will very probably be submitted before the court this week or the coming week. Thereafter, the CB will apply for copies of the reports, confirmed sources said. 

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Crime Branch ADG Arun Bothra has met Justice JP Das several times to inform him about the progress of the investigation. 

It is also learnt that the Crime Branch will complete the investigation within the fixed time and file the charge sheet. 
After verification of Gopal’s statements, it will be clear over what personal reasons he killed the minister.
