The mystery behind the deaths of a woman and her two minor children, whose decomposed bodies were found in their house at Sunapali area under Dhanupali police limits in Sambalpur district, is yet to be cracked by the police.

The cops with the help of a forensic team are still on the job to find out what circumstances led to their deaths.

The deceased were identified as Sazia Parwin, her eight-year-old son Abdul Rehman and six-year-old daughter Humera Tayiba. Sazia’s husband had predeceased her two years ago.

According to the police, the neighbours noticed the house closed for the last three days. Yesterday morning, the local residents observed a foul smell emanating from the house and immediately informed the police.

After getting information, a team from Dhanupali Police Station reached the spot and broke open the door in the presence of the magistrate and family members.

Police said, prima facie it seems to be a case of murder. However, they are investigating the case from all possible angles.

Meanwhile, the disappearance of a person who was visiting the woman’s house frequently has further deepened the mystery. It is suspected that the missing person has an involvement in the crime.
