The Special Task Force (STF) has attached absconding drug trafficker Anil Pandi’s properties worth Rs 2.35 crore illegally acquired from narcotics business over last six years.

Under chapter V A of NDPS Act (Section A- Z), there is a provision of seizing and forfeiture of ill-gotten properties of criminals acquired from narcotics business.

The properties seized under the NDPS Act include a palatial three-storied building having luxurious facilities including a swimming pool and 33 plots and bank deposits.

“All these properties were purchased from ill-gotten money from drug trafficking within last six years. Properties were purchased in his own name as well as in the name of his brother Sunil Kumar Pandi and others,” the STF said in a statement.

Pandi, a resident of Chhachina under Kodala police limits of Ganjam district, is one of the most wanted drug traffickers having been involved in 11 NDPS cases in Gujarat.

Earlier, his brother Sunil Pandi was arrested by Gujarat police who is now in Gujarat jail.

On August 13, 2021, around 10 quintals of ganja, one truck and other incriminating materials were seized from the house of Pandi. He is a habitual drug trafficker having links with interstate and inter-district.
