Cuttack: Minor hacked for objecting to lewd comments against mother

A minor boy sustained severe injuries on his head after being attacked by an assailant following a spat over a trivial issue at Cuttack on Monday. 

The injured has been identified as Anil Kumar Jena of Haripur village under Tangi Nuagada Panchayat. 

According to sources,  Anil’s elder brother went to sleep in an open place in the village instead of sleeping at his home due to frequent power cuts. The accused is said to have made some derogatory remarks at Anil’s mother. 

When Anil raised his voice, the accused attacked him with a sharp weapon. Anil sustained severe injuries on his head.

He was immediately rushed to Tangi hospital and his condition is stated to be stable now.
