Police rescued a minor boy, who was roaming aimlessly in Soro market in Balasore district on late Monday night after allegedly abandoned by his parents.

According to the police, the child and his parents were travelling in a bus on Monday night. During the journey, his parents entered into a verbal duel over some reasons. The quarrel was so intense that they along with their son got off the bus at Soro market.

A few minutes later, a man riding on a motorcycle arrived and took the boy’s mother along with him. Later, his father too went somewhere else, leaving his son alone in the night.

During patrolling, policemen spotted the abandoned boy roaming aimlessly in the market. They rescued him and when quizzed, he gave the details.

Meanwhile, the police have handed over the rescued boy to the Khaira Child Line and launched a hunt to find out the boy’s parents.
