Man taken aback after finding his bride-to-be as male in Odisha

A man who disguised himself as a woman to get married to a youth was caught by villagers who stripped him naked at Kasia village under Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district, recently. 

According to sources, Alok Kumar Mistri who hails from North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal developed friendship with Bishawnath Mandal’s daughter Meghna of Ramnagar village under Jambu Marine Police limits in Kendrapara on Facebook. 

After 15 days of knowing each other, Alok and Meghna fell in love with each other. They started sharing photos with each other. After Alok promised Meghna to marry her, Meghna came to meet Alok at Chandikhole. Alok then took Meghna to Basudevpur in Bhadrak where his uncle stays. 

Alok and Meghna were greeted warmly by Alok’s family. His uncle also threw a party inviting the near and dear ones. When everyone was enjoying the feast, Sujata Mandal from Binobabhabenagar came to bless the newlyweds and recognised Meghana, who is a boy in real life and is her nephew. She informed Alok and his uncle about it.

After learning that, Alok’s uncle asked Meghna’s parents to visit his house. Family members of Alok spent sleepless night thinking about what to do with Meghna and on the next day, the villagers stripped him naked. His real name is Meghanada. T

The villagers including Alok were taken aback to find out that Meghna has cheated Alok in disguise. Also, the villagers cut Meghanada’s hair and made him wear men’s clothes. They advised him not to cheat any youth in future.

It is learnt that Meghanada had earlier cheated many youths in the similar manner. Meanwhile, police rescued Meghanada and handed him over to his family.
