Man found dead inside auto-rickshaw in Bolangir; police probe begins

In a shocking incident that has left the local community stunned, the body of a man was recovered from inside an abandoned auto-rickshaw parked on the roadside in Bolangir district on Friday. The incident occurred near the Juria Bhalbhati road under the jurisdiction of Larambha police station.

According to police sources, the deceased has been identified as Khirod Meher, a resident of Padmapur area in Bargarh district. 
The body of Khirod was found this morning when local residents noticed the auto standing suspiciously on the roadside for an extended period. Upon closer inspection, they found the lifeless body of a man inside and promptly alerted the police.

Police personnel from Larambha station arrived at the scene and started investigation into the matter. The auto-rickshaw has also been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

Reason Behind Death Unclear

At this stage, the exact cause and circumstances leading to Khirod’s death remain unclear. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and have initiated a thorough investigation. 

“We are exploring all possible angles, including whether it was a case of foul play or natural causes,” said an investigating officer.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and forensic experts may be called in if required to aid in the inquiry.

The incident has sparked concern among locals, with many questioning how a person could die unnoticed inside a vehicle parked in a public area. Police have assured that all leads will be pursued and the truth behind the mysterious death will be uncovered soon.
